Sending your child to camp for the first, second, or even 8th time, is no easy task. There are lots of things parents could worry about: will my child be homesick? Make friends? Eat? Drink? Shower? Most of all, will there be someone for my child to go to in my absence? The answer is, YES! One of the greatest gifts of camp is allowing your child to form relationships with grown-ups, other than their parents, to help them solves problems and build resiliency. One of the greatest gifts parents give themselves is sending their kids away from home. Not only does your child gain independence, but parents do too!
